Rena Netjes,a Dutch Arabist who worked for years in Egypt as a journalist, was sentenced in Egypt, to 10 years of prison.This verdict was based on no evidence at all. She was simply doing her job as an investigative journalist. Just in time she managed to escape Egypt. Lots of other unfortunate journalists did not.....During those ( fake) trials thecaptured journalists were kept in cages like animals. The prison where they are staying is a very dangerous place to be, torturings are known to happen....

BeantwoordenVerwijderenShe can be the spokeswoman of the jailed colleagues. But she can't return as an arabist to Egypt and all the countrys that have a pact with this country too to give in people who were convicted'by Egyption law...
